SMART SCHOOL CONCEPTs

Malaysia Smart School is a learning institution that systematically redesigned in terms of teaching-learning practices and school management to help children cope with the Information Age. The main components of the Smart School is as follows:

  • Teaching and Learning (P & P)
  • Smart School Management System
  • Policy, Human Resources, Skills and Attitudes
  • Technology
  • Process
These components will be evaluated and modified to ensure greater efficiency and higher efficacy. Smart school is a school concept in Malaysia. This concept will lead to the democratization of education entirely. This school is not just for smart people but it is a smart way to ensure that each student - strong or weak, rich or poor reached its full potential in the most suitable way rates and different learning styles.

CHALLENGES AND ISSUES

The readiness of teachers and students to adapt with the new concept of learning and teaching also has to be considered. Besides that, lacking of technical staff to supervise network also can be the challenges to implement the smart school concept. So that, ongoing training and retraining teachers is needed. Smart Schools will not prevail with only the infrastructures and students attending them. Teachers, as the all-important agents, will be the ones who will actually translate the transformation theory to transformation reality.

In my opinion, the implementation of SMART School is quiet successful. However, it depend on the community to adapt it. Government has shown their work to make it success and now it time for us to involve in this program to achieve our MALAYSIA 2020 goals.

Here is my report on SMART School in Malaysia (Click the link below)
